160.

If the officer be granted a shorter period

of leave than that for which he is eligible, the balance

will be reserved for his future use, unless he is proceed-

ing home on retirement in which case he will not be

granted more than the leave for which he is eligible at

the rates laid down in General Order 158 in respect of

his resident service since his last return from home or

equivalent leave, up to a maximum of eight months, ex-

clusive of the standard voyage.
